- Acquiring new consumer & commercial banking businesses and deepening existing customer relationships for the customer segment handled
- Reviewing strategy implementation and sales/ market analysis with the view of increasing the profitability of business
- Demonstrate excellence on each service interaction with customers
- Relationship building with new and existing customers to ensure profitability
- Active participation in branch sales planning to generate action plans for meeting targets
- Handling customer issues and complaints
- Planning and carrying out desk based prospecting and maintaining up to date call reports.
- Obtaining timely and relevant market feedback useful for product development, competitor monitoring and customer service improvement
- Preparing regular sales activities and performance reports
- Contributing to direct sales skills development and performance improvement
- Other related duties as assigned
- Must clearly embrace and exhibit UBA values
- Product knowledge of all banks in the territory
- Ability to quickly assess potential of prospects
- Freedom of decision making
- Ability to give sound judgment on the suitability of a product to the market segment
- Ability to match and positively present product features and benefits to customer needs
- Sharp judgment as to when to ask, attempt to close or ease off on a prospect
- Ability to follow through on promises to customers’ or prospects’ satisfaction
