- The responsibilities of a CHIEF MODERN TRADE include hiring, training, and providing professional development for their teams and setting weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals based on the team's performance to date. He also generates reports tracking how well everyone achieves these seasonal targets. He also in charge of managing key account customer and provide weekly, monthly plan to achieve their target and beat the competition in modern trade and Horeca channel.
- Establish sales target and make sales plans for every customer in Modern Trade in accordance with Company sales and distribution strategy
- Assist in planning process of Modern Trade sales and merchandising by brand/ by customer.
- Communicate the sales related information and policies from Company to Modern Trade
- Supervisors, sales teams & merchandisers; ensure their strictly complying
- Seek out and explore new sales, product and customer opportunities in Modern Trade channel.
- Monitor stock out by channel as well as market behaviors and competitors’ development to have timely and suitable reactions
- Analyze sales data to recommend, implement and administer methods and procedures to enhance the sales improvement of the Company
- Negotiate with Modern Trade customers about the terms and conditions of the contract
- Develop in-store visibility plans.
- Establish and maintain the favorable relationship with major strategic partners
- Ensure that all channel managers are provided with enough sales tools and use them correctly & effectively; check Modern Trade Supervisors’ field visiting plans and monthly expenses claims
- Develop effective sales teams, coordinate channel manager’s activities; makes weekly personnel and target reports
- Identify corporate partnership opportunities with Modern Trade and negotiate the deal with client.
- Coordinate with Brand manager for marketing and promotional activities to be done for Modern Trade clients Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
- 10 Years work experience with 4 years in a similar position in FMCG market Possess good presentation skills and networking
- Good communication skill
- Good key account management skills with strong market and sales analysis skill
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Modern Trade - Business understanding and ways of working
- Analytical skills to do gap / opportunity analysis (category-wise)
- Knowledge of evaluation tools to assess investments in visibility and promotions
- Understanding of merchandising as tool to influence shoppers choice
