NOTICE OF CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE RÈCRUITMENT OF IT SPECIALIST TECHNICIANS

Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL), Cameroon's incumbent telecommunications operator, hereby invites candidates to appiy for IT Specialist Technician positions in the country's 10 (ten) regions.

IT (Network and Security) SPECIALISTS

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités

Assess, identify and resolve network and security problems in complex infrastructure environments.
Evaluate and integrate SD-WAN technologies for CAMTEL's customers' networks. develop network and security designs (high-level and low-level).
Create security policies, conduct IT risk assessments, assess infrastructure, network and security architectures for data centres and campuses.

Compétences / Exigences / Qualités

The incumbent should have:

A degree in IT;
The equivalent combination of education and experience shall also be a positive asset;
A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification in routing and switching or security shall be an advantage, but not mandatory;
Professional experience in the field shall be an advantage.

Skills sought:

The incumbent should:

Have extensive experience in the deployment of SD-WANs, as well as in the development of policies and support procedures for the networks of Small and Medium- sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Large Enterprises.
Have motivation to create solutions for CAMTEL's major customers.
Be able to communicate effectively at various levels within the company, both internally and externally.
Be able to work closely with other members of the Network Engineering team to ensure delivery of the SD-WAN project.
Be able to collaborate with our customers to understand their project needs and propose customised solutions.
Be able to conduct research, evaluate and recommend new network and security technologies.
Be able to investigate incidents and carry out root cause analysis to finding solutions.
Be able to liaise with the Sales and Support groups on customer projects and requirements.
Have experience of server virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMWare, KVM).

Training period: 3 (three) weeks;
Assumption of duty: 1 March 2024.

Duty station:

Selected candidates shall be deployed throughout the country;
Selected candidates shall be confirmed after a successful internship, which shall
