Job Summary:
Transnet Cloud is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts in Cameroon. This role is pivotal in establishing our presence, driving sales, and building a strong client base. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development, sales, and team leadership within the technology sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and managing a team to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Market Analysis and Strategy:
  •  Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and industry trends in Cameroon.
  •  Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  •   Identify and analyze competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Sales and Business Development:
  •  Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting activities.
  •  Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  •   Present and demonstrate Transnet Cloud's solutions to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Team Leadership and Management:
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales and business development team.
  •  Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Operations and Reporting:
  • Oversee the establishment and smooth operation of Transnet Cloud's office in Cameroon.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations related to business operations.
Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local tech communities, and government agencies.
  •  Represent Transnet Cloud at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and sales, preferably in the cloud technology or IT industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Cameroonian business environment and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken).
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in CRM software.
  • Knowledge of local business registration process is a plus.
