Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for the provision of excellent knowledge and influences the HR strategy to drive the HR agenda and people capability in support of business objectives. This role focuses upon the provision of HR advice and partner with the business and HR Centres of Expertise (COEs) to deliver the HR strategy.The role would manage people systems and services as well as culture, diversity and inclusion. Maintain an oversight of the annual performance management processes. Monitor compliance with processes and recommend actions to address issues and improve effectiveness.
Your role as a Head of HR
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Job Requirements
What will make you successful
  • A degree in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, or other relevant qualification
  • Generalist experience in all areas of the Human Resources discipline i.e. labour relations, organisational development, training and development, remuneration and benefits, as well as talent acquisition
  • 5-8 years generalist HR experience in an operational Human Resources role, preferably as a HR Business Partner. 3 years of which must be in a managerial position
  • Experience within a fast-paced organisation
