Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
JOB PURPOSE
  • Implement best practice policies and procedures for Procurement/Vendor Management in the Affiliate.
  • Managing and leveraging on good vendor relationships for the affiliate.
  • Evaluation and appraisal of vendors and Suppliers for the affiliate.
  • Maintaining credible approved Suppliers Register for the affiliate.
  • Identification and mitigation of Sourcing and Vendor risks in all sourcing activities.
  • High Level of professionalism and ethical dealings with all vendors and Service providers
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
  • Responsible for implementing procurement and vendor management Policies and Procedures
  • Deliver projects within agreed defined scope/value, time, and budget.
  • Implement strategic sourcing in the affiliate.
  • Identify, develop key vendors, manage, and track performance and capability.
  • Identification and mitigation of Sourcing and Vendor risks for projects and business as usual purchases.
  • Exploring, identifying, and tracking areas of Procurement savings.
  • Maintain accurate expenditure profiles and other relevant non – financial information in respect of suppliers / Contractors.
  • Identification, implementation and administration of Projects, contracts.
  • Management and monitoring of Service Level Agreements (internal and external).
  • Identification of commercial opportunities with suppliers that will benefit the affiliate.
  • Ensure timely deliveries of goods and services in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Organise and manage procurement staff within the affiliate and ensure that they have necessary skills and motivation to perform their duties.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to the businesses with regards to procurement and vendor management issues.
  • Reviewing procurement spend in the affiliate and providing expert advice in reducing costs.
  • Maintain affiliate Supplier database and contract register.
  • Rationalize/ Categorize the supplier database in the affiliates.
  • Ensure all contracts in the group are renewed before expiry.
  • Involvement in the recruitment of all procurement and vendor management officers and staff in the affiliates.
  • Undertake vendor / supplier appraisals and evaluations.
  • Ensure proper filing of all sourcing related files and documentation (Vendor files, PO, Contracts, Delivery notes etc.)
  • Convince major suppliers/contractors/consultants to open an account with Ecobank during sourcing
  • Any other duties that will be assigned Line Manager from time to time.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Experience & Qualifications
  • A degree in Procurement, Supply chain, or other business-related discipline preferred.
  • A Procurement specialist with at least three to five years’ experience.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) in good standing.
  • Experience using Sourcing systems preferably ARIBA
  • Very strong analytical mindset
  • Project Management knowledge.
  • Strong Communication and Negotiation skills
  • Multi-tasking and sensitive to cross-cultural exposures
  • Independent but strong team player with ability to encourage and support individuals to achieve their full potential
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Post graduate degree will be an advantage
