Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
TBIS is looking to hire an English Teacher with specialty in Literature to join our team for the next academic year. This position is required from August 2023. Applicants must have a teaching qualification and specialization in their field of teaching and/or at least three successful years of teaching in a primary/secondary school environment. They must be able to embody the school's Mission, Vision, and Motto at all times. They should be optimistic, open-minded, collaborative, kind, and reflective about their own practice and how it can better meet the academic and personal needs of each student, consistent with the school's dedicated approach to personalised learning.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
At least 3 successful years of teaching experience in primary/secondary environment
Experience in teaching Years 7-13 as well as Literature to AS/A level, IB Diploma or KS5/Form 6
Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work in Douala, starting August 2023
Expat or Local hire
Suitable candidates will:
Be able to teach across the age and ability range Years 7-13
Teach the subjects from an international perspective
Be able to teach and communicate fluently in English
Have experience writing schemes of work
Open to teaching any other subject to complete their teaching load
Be able to work and teach using IT apps
Inspire and engage students
Have experience with the Cambridge Framework
