Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
JOB PURPOSE
The Executive Business Manager (EBM) is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the office of the Managing Director - Ecobank Cameroon & CEMAC Cluster Head. The role requires a high level of integrity, discretion, strategic and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. The EBM will support the Cluster MD in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to the Board of Directors, clients, regulators, and external partners across 7 countries.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Financial Performance Analysis:
  • Working with all the business units as well as the finance departments to foster a success-oriented, team
  • effort, accountable environment with timely submissions of reports and performance analysis for CEMAC cluster.
  • Reporting, communication, and operations to accelerate process towards growth, development, and financial targets.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the cluster MD’s office, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature.
  • Prioritize and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect Cluster MDs style and organization policy.
  • Act as a liaison and provide support for preparation of various Board of Directors meetings, other internal meetings as well as those with external parties.
Project Management:
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives/projects from development through successful execution working with senior executives and their teams.
  • Drive and maintain reporting of project portfolio for ongoing firm wide projects, ensuring end to end coordination for successful outcome.
  • Lead and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Communication:
  • Internal and external communications with all levels of stakeholders in a professional and orderly manner

  • Lead the preparation process for analysis and presentations for various internal, external and board meetings.
  • Working with the brand, marketing, and communication teams to ensure alignment with group standards.
  • Coordinating social Media activities on all relevant platforms working with external agencies providing them with company standards and policy.
  • Carry out market intelligence and stay up to date on all regulatory, macro and micro events that can
  • inform the Cluster MD’s strategic orientation and adequately document and communicate instantly.
Coordination, monitoring and tracking:
  • Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the MD’s ability to effectively lead the organization, designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations; collecting and preparing information for meetings with staff and outside parties; composing and preparing correspondences; maintaining contact lists.
  • Streamline internal processes and workflows to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Implement systems and tools to enhance communication, reporting, collaboration to ensure the objectives of the Cluster and affiliates are met vis-à-vis relevant stakeholders.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
  • Minimum master’s degree in any social science or science field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the financial, audit, consulting sectors, OR in roles such as chief financial officer, data analyst, relationship manager, credit analysis or project manager. Cross-functional background, significant executive support experience, including supporting C-level executives are an added advantage.
  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills are a must.
  • Expert proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools and desktop publishing software; as well as good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to provide informed recommendations for decision making.
  • Knowledge and experience on social media platforms: outlining strategy, creating content and monitoring interaction and scaleMinimum of 7 years work experience in a financial institutions and consulting firms
