- Ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected;
- Ensure employee security awareness, and develop secure business and communication practices;
- Ensure the bank is in regulatory compliance with the relevant bodies and enforcing adherence to security practices
- Provide physical and logical security for IT programs, data and equipment to be carried out
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop security policies and procedures aligned with the bank’s business objectives
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Ensure maintenance access rules to data and other IT resources
- Ensure maintenance security and confidentiality over the issuance and maintenance of authorised user Ids and passwords
- Ensure Systems security management, Coordinate Antivirus Systems vendors, liaise with vendors, administer licences/contracts
- Monitor security violations and take corrective action to ensure that adequate security is provided
- Periodic review and evaluation of the security policy and suggestion of necessary changes to management.
- Prepare and monitor the security awareness program for all employees
- Create user accounts and maintains security levels on databases
- Test the security architecture to evaluate the security strengths and to detect possible threats and vulnerability
- Review computer reports, files and messages to identify instances of possible security intrusion
- A good technology-related university degree in preferably Computer Science/Electric Electronics Engineering or Numeric Science
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
- Certifications on Cisco Equipment will be an added advantage.
- Certified System Audit certificate is an added advantage.
- TCP/IP based networks
- LAN/WAN monitoring software
- Financial Institutions Law/Regulations
- Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor managing information security in a Bank, Telco or financial institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience.
- Experience in a multinational will be an added advantage.
